He must have been born with a pen in one hand and a drawing tablet in the other.

Aaron was born in Tennessee, and quickly graduated from the school of hard knocks with honors, and still has the bruises to prove it.

As a young lad he spent much of his youth exploring the woods in rural Tennessee. On these grand adventures he would dream he led a band of pirates on the dangerous seas, rode atop dinosaurs that menaced the neighbors, and raced fast cars. When he wasn’t out pretending to be various heroes or the dashing villain, he would draw them.

If he wasn’t outside brandishing his imagination, he was in the library looking for new adventures.

Two books in junior high school became inspirational favorites though he was not ready to be an author yet. Bram Stoker’s Dracula introduced him to classic horror, and a lifelong fascination with vampires, while Eye of the Dragon by Stephen King cemented this horror author as his favorite of all time.

Years after graduating high school in Louisiana, he had a vivid dream of a young girl being chased through the woods by an unspeakable, unseen horror. When he woke, he knew he needed to know who this little girl was, what was chasing her and why. He worked on the story like a part time hobby at best. The story still has not come together into a full piece, but it ignited a small flame, the desire to write.

Soon the written word surpassed the desire to draw and paint as the artistic outlet of choice. The story of the lost girl in the woods, and the marauding beast is still tucked safely away in a locked chest in the attic. Eventually that story will see the light of day.
